Nice to have a place where wait staff take your order and bring it to you. The desserts are the stars! So good. Great service.

I always love Papa Haydn's, both locations. Mostly do dessert but their food is great too. I don't live too far from the Sellwood location so it's typically pop in, grab dessert, and head home to eat. I had pre-ordered a a Valentine's Day cake and needed to pick it up at a specific time during the snow we had a couple weeks ago. They had someone there to help with special orders even though they were closed for dine in that time of day.

Great dessert as always! But I beg of Portland restaurants to turn their heating on during the winter. Especially at a more upscale place like Papa Haydn. I shouldn't need to keep my winter coat on (and still be cold) the whole time I am eating.

We met friends here for lunch and everything was great. Service, food, everything! Next time our friends are in the area, we'll meet them here again.

The icon continues to be great. In sellwood there is a wonderful patio to sit out in (summer) and the menu continues to be strong. We had the German chocolate cake. Delicious and re-affirms papa Haydn's strength. Nice setting, solid menus and amazing desserts.

My partner and I went to Papa's for his birthday. I had been there and only eaten desserts in the past so we decided to have dinner too. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our server was amazing. She helped me on my wine pairing with the Salmon entree'. The food was so good. I expected it to be and wasn't disappointed. We got the clams and baguette for starters. Followed by the risotto and salmon. The food was well seasoned and very tasty. For dessert my partner got the Tuxedo Mint chocolate cake and I went with the "Passion". Each one me was epic. If you love sweets this is the place to go. The restaurant is very cozy and intimate. We will be back sooner than later.

Such yummy desserts! My mom and I went to celebrate wedding dress shopping with a treat. I was torn between raspberry gateaux and German chocolate cake but our server helped me choose. It was very rich and tasty but the cake part was a little dry.

YUM! Amelia is the real star of the show here, but the dessert is a close 2nd This place is straight out of a Hallmark movie. Good drinks, friendly service, quaint vibe, reasonable prices, gourmet desserts. Can't wait to come back and try the mint tuxedo cake

Came here during their 45th anniversary month and they had wonderful deals including several savory dishes worth $12 and 3 desserts worth $7 each as a nice throw back menu. The food was wonderful and there was also excellent service. You can't go wrong with their desserts. Their dessert case is absolutely the best thing in the restaurant, it's gorgeous!

This is one of my favorite restaurants for delicious desserts! They make everything in-house and have been a Sellwood staple since 1978. I even purchased my wedding cake from them. We stopped in to grab a variety of desserts for a gathering we were having at our home. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They were having issues with their credit card machine but were very apologetic. We ended up ordering a piece of the lemon chiffon cake, German chocolate cake, raspberry gateau, lemon curd tart, and marionberry cheesecake. They were all absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this establishment for desserts. They have a nice variety. You won't be disappointed!
